A year of awards for Mozart's Symphonies

2009 was a great year for the the SCO's recording of Mozart's Symphonies 38-41. It scooped the Critics' Choice at the Classical BRITs, Critics' Choice and Disc of the Year at the BBC Music Magazine Awards, and Album of the Year at the MIDEM Classical Awards 2009.

Forthcoming releases

The Orchestra spent 2 weeks in the recording studio with Sir Charles Mackerras in the summer of 2009, laying down the tracks for their second Mozart Symphonies CD, this time featuring Symphonies 29, 31, 32, 35 and 36. Due for release March 2010.
